Strategic retreat · 3 days · up to 20 leaders

Three days for the decisions that move your company forward.

A facilitated outdoor programme for leadership teams. You leave with decisions, a name and a deadline on every commitment, and a written plan within 48 hours.

The problem

Most strategy meetings end the same way: good energy, no change.

Same room, same roles, the same people talking. The hard questions stay half-answered, because everyone knows Monday brings back the old routine. We start from the end: what has to be different when you are back at your desks? We build the three days around that – and check afterwards.

What you leave with

Four things you take home.

A decision

A clear answer to the question you came with, not a list of ideas.

An owner for every commitment

Every agreement has a name and a deadline before you head home.

A shared language

Methods the team keeps using in meetings after the programme.

Impact that lasts

A report within 48 hours, then a joint check after 30 days: what has taken hold and what needs adjusting.

How it works

What working with us looks like.

01

We talk

A 30-minute call. We define the question, who takes part and what success means for you.

02

Day one: open

An outdoor activity lowers the guard and mixes up the roles. Then we open the question – with every view on the table, including the ones nobody says at the office.

03

Days two and three: decide

From insight to decisions and a plan. Every commitment gets an owner and a deadline.

04

We follow up

Within 48 hours you get a report: your team’s voice, the agreements and concrete recommendations. After 30 days we check together what has taken hold – and what still needs adjusting.

Decisions for the year ahead need quiet and a clear view forward.

Who leads it

A facilitator who spent 20 years on your side of the table.

Miroslav Soldat led teams at companies such as P&G, Mars, Mondelez and Barry Callebaut. He works with Liberating Structures – practical methods that make sure every voice in the room is heard and the group reaches a decision. Our team handles the venue, guides and safety, so he can focus on your question alone.

From our practice

Climate Lens Advisors: came with one question, came back with a bigger team.

The founders asked: how do we keep growing without the way we lead becoming the limit? The team named the leadership habits that hold people back and made a plan to replace them. A year later, in Boka, they came back with three more people.

”

There is really no question: this was money well invested by our company. We got a lot back – people came home happy and connected.

What we achieved in just a day and a half, we probably could not have achieved in half a year of working remotely. That is why we are making gatherings like this part of our process.

Who it is for

The right choice – and when it is not.

It is for you if:

  • you run a company or team and see that the next step in growth depends more on leadership alignment than on the market
  • you have an important topic that deserves more time and focus than regular meetings can give it
  • you are in HR, organising a strategy day for leadership, and want a result you can stand behind

It is not for you if:

  • you mainly want a day together and a good time – that is what our team experiences are for
  • the decision is already made and only needs announcing

Questions leaders ask

Short answers.

What exactly does the facilitator do?

They run the process, not the content. You bring the question and make the decisions; the facilitator makes sure everyone is heard, the conversation stays on track and it ends with agreements that have a name and a deadline. No lectures, no ready-made answers.

Who makes the final decision?

You do. The methods don’t remove responsibility for the decision – they inform it: before you decide, you hear everything the team knows, including the uncomfortable parts. The decision stays yours; it is just better grounded and easier to carry out, because the team took part.

What if people won’t speak openly in front of their managers?

The formats start in pairs and small groups, where it is easier to say what you think. Some, like Wicked Questions, deliberately surface tensions in the team – without pointing fingers. Being away from the office helps too.

Can we keep using the methods afterwards?

Yes, that is the point. The team sees them in practice and can use them in the very next meeting – without us.

Who should take part?

The leadership team and the people who will carry out the decisions – up to 20 people. We agree the group in the first call.

Where does it take place?

We choose the setting by your question, the season and the group size – every programme is built for a specific team. See our venues →

Can everyone take part?

Yes. We adapt the activity to the group and agree the level of physical effort with you in advance.

What if the weather changes?

We always have a backup plan and decide on the day.
